Shahnaz Kayani of One Stop Saver in Crumpsall, Manchester, was named Bestway's Retailer of the Year at the group's recent Retail Development Awards.
The awards recognise retailers who achieve sales growth by implementing best practice guidelines presented at a series of supplier workshops. Shahnaz achieved an increase of 21% by using the advice she received.
She collected the award and a cheque for £10,000 from Bestway Group chief executive Zameer Choudrey, accompanied by her husband Shakeel.
Sally Cann of Croft Stores in Silverstone, Northamptonshire, won the Community Award.
Guests at the event were entertained by impressionist Jon Culshaw and heard how last year's winner, Harinder 'Harry' Khela, used his prize money to raise funds for orphan centres in Malawi, collecting £55,000.
