Spar has unveiled its new-look Indian and Oriental food range.
Available from 18 September, the 17-sku range was relaunched at a curry night for 200 RAF troops and includes ready meals, accompaniments and stir frys.
New lines in the range:
Thai Green Curry with Rice 450g
Chicken in Black Bean Sauce with Egg Rice 450g
Lamb Rogan Josh with Pilau Rice 450g
Chicken Jalfrezi with Pilau Rice 450g
Chinese Style Stir Fry Sauce 180g
Sweet Chilli Stir Fry Sauce 180g
Six new lines have been added to the range which will be on special promotion for 2 for £4 from 18 September to 29 October. Spar believes the range could be worth £3.4m in sales.
UK brand director Susan Darbyshire said this range was part of Spar’s investment in own label. “Our consumer needs are changing, food trends are changing and people want good quality products at good prices more than ever before,” she said.
“This range has been repackaged in a strong, recognizable design, with great standout on shelf. It will also be supported with significant marketing activity, including the TV campaign. Spar is committed to creating a fantastic, profitable own brand range for retailers that is relevant to customer needs locally offers excellent quality and prices.”
