A trio of Co-op stores re-opened over the past week following extensive programmes of improvements to transform them and their communities.

Located in Fore Street, Topsham, Newland’s Park, Scarborough and Ledbury Road, Tupsley, the stores all relaunch with a new look and layout following significant investment.

The three convenience stores range in size from Tupsley in Herefordshire at nearly 1,000 sq.ft. up to Newland’s Park at just over 2,300 sq.ft., with more than 40 local jobs supported across the three sites. All stores benefit from new refrigeration which cut energy consumption and an enhanced focus on fresh produce.

Added services include parcel collection, payment services via Paypoint and cash machines. In addition, stores are fulfilment hubs for Co-op’s leading quick commerce operation, with fast and convenient online home delivery of groceries.

Speaking at the relaunch of the Topsham store where he has worked for 25 years, Daniel Case, store manager (pictured above), said: “The whole team is delighted to invest in Topsham and relaunch Co-op’s Fore Street store. It looks incredible, and we’ve had a great response from the community. The store has been totally transformed with a fresh new-look and feel, and extended range of products - we pride ourselves on being able to deliver the quality, choice and value which can be enjoyed by everyone.”
