Morrisons is extending its partnership with Deliveroo so that customers can order groceries from 500 of its Morrisons Daily convenience stores and have them delivered to their doorstep in under 30 minutes. They will be able to order from 2,500 fresh, frozen and ambient items for the on-demand delivery.
Convenience remains an important and strongly growing channel for Morrisons and its Morrisons Daily convenience stores are located at fuel forecourts and other convenient and busy locations around the country. The Morrisons Daily offer includes a core convenience range, fresh food to go and selected elements of Morrisons’ popular Market Street fresh food.
Morrisons has been working with Deliveroo since the height of the Covid pandemic in April 2020 and the service is already available in around 390 supermarkets. It has around 1,600 Morrisons Daily convenience stores across the UK, of which around 600 are franchise stores. In September 2021, Deliveroo also launched its first delivery-only grocery store, Deliveroo Hop, in partnership with Morrisons.
Joseph Sutton, convenience, online and wholesale director for Morrisons, said: “Our partnership with Deliveroo has gone from strength to strength. Customers tell us how important rapid delivery services are to them so we’re delighted to be extending the Deliveroo service.”
