Subway and Euro Garages have opened their 100th integrated store - at Holtspur Service Station in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire.
The store marks the successful completion of Euro Garages’ goal to invest in and open 100 Subways by 2016 - a move which has also created around 700 new jobs.
It now plans to open a further 75 Subway stores at its sites by the end of 2016.
Euro Garages now owns and operates over 360 forecourt sites in the UK, having acquired 172 new sites, including 104 Esso forecourt sites in the South East and a further 68 Shell sites earlier this year.
Greg Madigan, area development manager for Subway in the UK and Ireland, said: “The Subway brand partnership with Euro Garages is going from strength to strength and the opening of the 100th store is a testament to that.
“The forecourt and convenience sector is a key area of growth for the Subway brand. The simple operations that are involved in running a Subway franchise and the convenience offer make it a perfect fit for these style locations.”
Euro Garages operations manager Ahmed Kazi said: “It is with great pleasure to announce the opening of our 100th Subway store at Holtspur Service Station, and achieve our 100 stores target earlier than forecast.
“Reaching this milestone is testament to our investment, people, capital and systems. We look forward to growing our estate even further in 2016, as we work towards our target of 175 Subway stores across our sites by the end of next year.”
