Subway and Euro Garages open 50th integrated store

Subway and Euro Garages have opened their 50^th integrated store at Leamore Service Station in Walsall.

The store, which created 15 new jobs in the local area, marks the mid-point of Euro Garages’ strategic growth plans to invest in and open 100 Subway stores by 2016.

Euro Garages recently acquired 48 Esso forecourt sites in the Midlands and East of England as part of its national expansion plans.

There are more than 400 Subway stores open or in development in non-traditional locations, such as on forecourt sites or within convenience stores.

Neil Mercer, sales director for Blakemore Trading Partners, said about 15% of its company-owned Spar stores and independent retailers had either introduced Subway to their stores or were planning to do so.
