Subway and Euro Garages are to open a further 69 Subway outlets across the privately-owned forecourt group’s estate by 2016.
The expansion will bring the total Euro Garages sites with a Subway store to 100, creating around 700 new jobs.
The forecourt and convenience sector was a key area of growth for the Subway brand, said Trevor Haynes, area development manager for the UK and Ireland.
“We have had a very long and successful relationship with Euro Garages and are looking to build on this with future store roll-outs.”
“We already own and operate a considerable number of Subway stores across our existing estate and our investment in the brand has been a huge success,” said Euro Garages, commercial director Ilyas Munshi. “We are committed to working with the Subway brand to complete the necessary site investment, excited about the job creation opportunities and providing training and skills development.”
The Euro Garages announcement follows the recent statement that the Subway brand, in partnership with Ireland-based independent forecourt retailer, Applegreen, is to launch further stores across the UK and Ireland.
