Sweet Charity has created an emergency fund to help convenience retailers affected by this week’s riots.
The charity for the UK confectionery industry is on hand to help with personal advice and financial crisis grants when staff face tough times.
Director general Patrick Davis said: “With the recent troubles affecting members of our industry it is great that in such a short space of time we have already been able to create an emergency fund, over and above our usual grant programme to help retailers and their employees most affected by the recent riots.”
Retailers who think they may qualify for support should contact Sweet Charity on 0207 404 5222 or visit www.sweetcharity.net
Companies that wish to help riot-hit convenience retailers are also encouraged to contact the charity.
