Convenience group AMACOR has expanded its estate with a new Nisa Local store in Bradford.
The store, located on Duckworth Lane, will be the group’s 14th site and was previously trading as a Co-op.
AMACOR carried out a four-day turnaround that saw the existing store cease trading, re-branded and freshly stocked with a new range.
The 4,000 sq. ft. store is situated in a busy residential area and will continue to offer Co-op own-brand products together with an expanded range of Asian and Polish products.
Head of acquisitions at AMACOR Alex Wilson outlined future plans for the site including enhancing the food to go offering. “Our shoppers will still have access to a brilliant selection of their favourite Co-op products as well as an improved choice across other areas.
“Future plans include the installation of a Costa Express, Tango Ice Blast and f’real machine to complement the food-to-go offering in-store.
“We wanted to work fast to convert this store and limit the disruption to our customers, so we’re delighted to have been able to make the changes in such a short space of time.
Wilson added that the group aims to have 20 stores by the end of 2021.
“AMACOR is always looking for investment opportunities and this store is ideal for our business, supporting our growth strategy and keeping us on track to reach our target of 20 stores by the end of the year.”
