Barista Bar, the retail coffee to go offering from Henderson Foodservice, is set to reach over 100 installations in Scotland before the end of the year.
The brand has reached a milestone of 50 bean to cup machine installations throughout company-owned Spar stores in Scotland, after signing an exclusive deal with wholesaler and retailer CJ Lang & Son Ltd. An additional 16 independent Spar retailers have also chosen to carry the brand in their stores.
It means by the end of the year, 116 Spar stores across Scotland will offer Barista Bar for their shoppers. Keavy O’Mahony-Truesdale, brand manager at Barista Bar (pictured right), said: “The success is sparking a ripple effect across the independent retail market - retailers are noticing the impact it’s had for their peers and are eager to bring Barista Bar into their own stores.”
Stephen Brown, Head of Food to Go at CJ Lang & Son Ltd (pictured left) says Barista Bar has been a huge accelerator for sales, footfall and shopper loyalty at their company owned stores. He added; “Introducing Barista Bar to our estate has proven hugely successful, with the coffee to go offering boosting sales growth in the past year. Like for like sales on hot drinks have grown by 25% since we began installing and it’s hugely exciting to reach such a prominent milestone with the brand.”
Henderson Foodservice created the Barista Bar brand in 2015 and now has over 750 machines available throughout the UK.
