Checkout Scotland has raised £53,000 for industry charity GroceryAid.
Taking place for the second year running at Baad Glasgow, more than 800 grocery colleagues assembled for one of the industry’s largest annual fundraising music events in Scotland.
Checkout Scotland was supported by 26 sponsors, including headline sponsorship from Brewdog, Irn Bru, One o One and Rockstar energy drink.
Live entertainment was provided by Example, B*Witched and The Supernaturals while on the decks were DJs Naeem, George Bowie, Jim Harper, Jamie Lasgor, Cassie and Barry Munoz.
GroceryAid Fundraising Director, Jane Hill, says: “Checkout Scotland brings the Scottish grocery industry together for fantastic music event, which also provides a unique opportunity to make industry connections and build existing relationships.
“This is an inclusive event which is accessible to both large and small brands, plus we are delighted to see so many colleagues from the independent retail sector here.”
Money raised from Checkout will help GroceryAid continue providing free and confidential financial, emotional and practical support to grocery colleagues through Scotland and the rest of the UK. Checkout Scotland is returning on 5 September 2024. For more information, click here.
