Two former Warner’s Budgens forecourt sites in Tewkesbury and Quedgeley, Gloucestershire, have been acquired by independently owned forecourt and convenience store operator SGN Retail, which trades from over 70 sites UK-wide.
The acquisition took place at the end of last year and the outlets are currently running as Costcutter stores on Shell forecourts.
Guy’s Upton upon Severn store in Worcestershire, which opened last summer, is now the sole store operating under the Warner’s Supermarkets brand.
The shop is the first dual-branded “Together with Morrisons” store, carrying over 700 local lines as well as Morrisons’ own brand products. The store closed for five days last week due to local flooding, but has now reopened.
Guy also owns a 3,000sq ft site just outside Cheltenham, and a 4,000sq ft site in the Cotswolds, which are both under development.
