Campaign group We Vape is surveying retailers in a bid to hammer home to the government the potential impact of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill.
Founder Mark Oates will present the data to Health Secretary Wes Streeting and wants as many businesses as possible to submit their view. The 12 questions cover the potential effects of flavour restrictions, e-liquid taxes and lost business because of new laws.
The survey also seeks the views of grassroots experts in retail on how legislation might affect small business footfall and smoking rates. Oates said: “No one understands the potential effects of the Tobacco and Vapes Bill better than those selling products directly to the consumer.
“It’s vitally important the government hears our concerns at every stage of this bill’s progress through parliament. Please share your views and we’ll put them in the lap of government.”
The Tobacco and Vapes Bill is currently at the Committee Stage, before advancing to the House of Lords.
