Jisp has reported that retail sales through its Scan & Save mobile app solution has hit the £2.5m mark since launch, with an additional £1.8m of revenue in 2023.

Launched in September 2021, shopper savings through the app have also passed £1m, with almost £500,000 of that attributed to this year.

Total scans of the app’s AR vouchers exceeded the two million mark, with one million of those coming in 2023.

Earlier this year, Jisp said the volume of discounts used via the app had jumped 600% in the first quarter compared to the same period last year. The business said this trend in shopper engagement has continued with week-on-week data showing an 82% uplift in downloads of the app for week commencing 7 August compared to the previous week, and a 69% increase in new users. Scans were also up 53% for the same week, while the number of repeat redeemers was up 45%, demonstrating Scan & Save’s success in building customer loyalty for stores.

Jisp’s managing director, Ilann Hepworth, said: “The current cost of living crisis is driving even greater interaction with platforms and solutions offering value propositions. Scan & Save is seeing unprecedented interest and interactions because, as well as offering money off key staples which have seen price rises of over 30% in the last two years, it also enables shoppers to treat themselves with savings on big brands they might have traditionally traded out of in tougher financial times.”

Jisp recently unveiled a new loyalty platform for wholesalers to offer deals to its retailer customers.
