Nisa operator Kash Retail and Jisp have agreed a partnership to roll out Scan & Save across its eight stores.
The AR technology will go live in stores on 24 January, although the two businesses first opened discussions in October when the companies met at Nisa’s 2023 Expo at Stoneleigh.
Kash Retail currently has eight stores across Yorkshire and the north-east of England and toward the end of 2023 relaunched its Bedale site in North Yorkshire, with a full refurbishment.
Scan & Save is a loyalty and reward scheme for independent retailers. Through the technology, money-off vouchers can be used in a specific local store whilst the shopper earns rewards through an app on their mobile device.
Kash Retail’s operations manager Kevin Polley said: “We’re really looking forward to Scan & Save rolling out across the estate and we’re excited by the many significant benefits it brings to us and our customers.
“We’d been monitoring Scan & Save for some time and seen the impact it was having in other retailers’ businesses. It was always going to be all in for us - if we’re running Scan & Save as our loyalty and rewards platform, we want it to be a consistent offering across all our stores. We view this as an important part of our customer proposition as we continue to grow the business.
Jisp’s retail director Esther Lawrence added: “We’re delighted to be working with Kash Retail and rolling out Scan & Save across its entire retail estate. As a platform it is proven to drive footfall, grow sales, enhance margin and increase frequency of shopper visits, so this is an exciting time for the Kash Retail business.”
