A man has been charged following a knife-wielding attempted robbery at a Best-one store in Camborne, Cornwall.
The incident occurred at Beacon Stores on Fore Street at around 12:45pm on 31 January.
Three suspects entered the store, before a member of staff thwarted the robbery.
According to Devon and Cornwall Police, Dilion Berryman, 20, has been charged with robbery; being in possession of a bladed article in public; and threatening a person with a bladed article.
A 34-year-old man and 32-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of robbery, but have been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
Berryman appeared in Truro Magistrates Court and has been held in remand to appear before Truro Crown Court on Tuesday 5 March.
The incident followed a number of recent armed robberies across the UK.
