Earlier this week, 38 colleagues from One Stop took part in a charity challenge through the Yorkshire Three Peaks for the BBC’s Children In Need.
Raising a staggering £25,000 (and counting), colleagues climbed through the popular circular trail that covers the peaks of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, and totals an impressive 25 miles. Almost 100 Trekkers from companies all over the UK took part, but 38 colleagues were represented by One Stop, making up to almost half the hikers.
Children In Need has been a charity partner of One Stop for twelve years, supporting disadvantaged children and young people. Money raised helps to fund projects and initiatives across the country to help improve the lives of children facing a range of challenges such as poverty, trauma, disability or illness.
Jack Taylor, community and partnerships manager at One Stop said: “Our colleagues are very passionate about raising money for BBC Children in Need and this challenge just shows their dedication. The Yorkshire Three Peaks is a very tough challenge, they trained and prepared for weeks and months in advance and we’re all so proud their endurance and achievements throughout the challenge.”
