One Stop has teamed up with Swizzels to sell Love Hearts pin badges to raise funds for Alzheimers Society.
Available in six designs, the badges retail at £1 each and carry classic Love Heart phrases, such as: “Be Kind”, “Dream Big”, “Be You”, “My Hero”, “Hugs” and “Love”. They are on sale until the end of June and 25% of the price of each pin badge sold will be donated to Alzheimer’s Society.
With the classic and timeless sweet treat being launched in 1954, Swizzels, One Stop and Alzheimer’s Society hope to raise awareness and instill nostalgia within communities with the badges.
Sarah-Louise Heslop, head of marketing at Swizzels: ’We are thrilled to support One Stop in their commendable fundraising initiatives for the Alzheimer’s Society. Purchasing Love Hearts pin badges, adorned with uplifting messages, offers a wonderful opportunity to contribute to this vital cause and the essential work they perform.”
Alzheimer’s Society head of corporate partnerships, Lizzie Pearl, said: “Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer and over 900,000 people are living with the condition - the need for support has never been greater. We’re grateful for the unwavering support of our incredible partner, One Stop, who have already raised over £550,000 for Alzheimer’s Society. This new pin badge, a wonderful spin on a timeless and iconic sweet, will help raise vital funds for our pioneering dementia research and dedicated support services. Together, we can end the devastation caused by dementia, providing help and hope for everyone affected.
Jack Taylor, community and partnerships manager at One Stop explains the importance of supporting the charity: “Almost all of us know someone who has been affected by Alzheimer’s, so supporting the charity is extremely important to everyone here at One Stop. Not only are we incredibly proud of this new range of merchandise, but we’re also excited to partner with Swizzels for the campaign! We hope the proceeds raised will make a real difference to Alzheimer’s Society.”
During this time, One Stop will also be selling ‘Forget me not’ badges, as well as encouraging their colleagues to get involved with its Big Bake Bonanza, with both raising money for Alzheimer’s Society. The convenience retailer has raised an amazing £550,000 for Alzheimer’s Society since their partnership began in 2019, through a variety of products and fundraising campaigns in their stores.
