One Stop is celebrating another year of dedicated fundraising for BBC Children In Need by opening a pop-up shop in Sheffield, exclusively for the charity.
Over the past 12 years, the convenience retailer has raised £1.2 million for BBC Children in Need and is determined to add even more to their fundraising bucket this year.
This amount has been achieved through a variety of ways such as selling merchandise, hosting bake sales, organising charity walks and this month, its pop-up shop is opening for a limited time at Meadowhall shopping centre in Sheffield.
Opening on Saturday 9 November, from 9am until 8pm and Sunday 10 November, from 11am until 5pm (times subject to change), customers can find the pop-up shop situated beside Primark and Next. The shop will be manned by One Stop colleagues from its Sheffield, Worksop and Mansfield stores.
The money raised from the pop-up shop, and through its in-store campaign, will help support disadvantaged children and young people – so every penny counts.
Jack Taylor, community partnerships manager at One Stop, said: “We’re so excited to be opening our pop-up shop, specifically for Children in Need. Customers are in for a treat – they’ll be able to get their hands on a range of fantastic merchandise! They’ll have to be quick though, we’re only there for two days”
The pop-up store will be selling a range of merchandise including t-shirts, badges, pens, plush toys, keyrings, homeware and more. Pudsey himself will also be popping by to say hello where he’ll be hosting a meet and greet with customers for free.
For the rest of the country, customers can still support the charity by purchasing Pudsey products from their local One Stop store. With its biggest range yet, customers can collect the merchandise until 16 November 2024.
Claire Hoyle director of income, marketing and communications at BBC Children in Need said: “One Stop always go above and beyond with their fundraising and last year they raised a brilliant £200,000 to help BBC Children in Need to lighten the load for children when they need us most.”
