PayPoint has announced that more than 10,000 PayPoint One devices are now live across the UK convenience sector.
The system, launched in 2016, is designed to offer retailers an all-in-one retail services platform, delivering the full benefit of advanced cloud-based EPoS technology, contactless card payments and PayPoint services such as bill payments and Collect+.
With three levels of functionality; Base, EPoS Core and EPoS Pro, the roll-out of more than 10,000 PayPoint One systems means more than half of PayPoint’s legacy yellow terminals have now converted to the new platform. The yellow terminal will be retired in 2019.
PayPoint commercial director Lewis Alcraft said: “We’re delighted to have reached this significant milestone and that retailers continue to show a big appetite for adopting cutting-edge technology in their store.
“It’s great to see thousands of retailers benefiting from the enhanced experience and business insight that PayPoint One brings. Feedback has been extremely positive, and we’re committed to continually enhancing the platform with new features, including an iOS version of our free mobile app launching in the next few months.”
