Premier retailer Dan Cocks has introduced a digital loyalty scheme in partnership with Swippi, in his rural Devon store.
Under the app-based initiative, shoppers receive five points every time they enter Whitstone Village Stores, regardless of how much they spend, until they have accrued enough to exchange for rewards.
Rewards include a free tea or coffee, or small slush, for 70 points; a free pastry, pint of draught beer or Panini for 100 points; a free 10-item breakfast for 400 points; and a free carvery for one person for 500 points.
Customers who have accrued 1,000 points are entitled to a £10 voucher to spend in store.
The Swippi app also enables the store to inform its customers about the latest news and in-store offers.
In addition to downloading the app, customers can also pick up a key fob in store and register with the help of a staff member.
Swippi was launched in 2014 with the aim of giving small retailers “the power of big brand customer loyalty” and automated marketing platforms at an affordable cost.
