Sainsbury’s is to start selling a range of its own label food-to-go products in WHSmith Travel stores as part of a new trial.
Starting next week, 13 WHSmith Travel stores in nine locations across the country, will offer shoppers a range of Sainsbury’s branded goods, from sandwiches and salads to tea, pasta, cookies and croissants.
The offer will differ slightly in each store.
Sainsbury’s director of business development Michael Luck said: “From next week we will be conducting a trial with WHSmith where a limited range of Sainsbury’s sandwiches, snacks and light meals will be available in a select number of their travel stores.
“This is part of our strategy to work with new partners to grow our business and respond to rapidly changing shopping habits.”
