Spar UK has launched a new campaign to promote its range of own-label products this summer, inviting shoppers to host their own barbecue parties.
The symbol’s ’Sparbecue’ initiative will see 500 parties take place simultaneously across the UK, featuring the Spar brand’s range of fresh food, wine and barbecue essentials.
The parties will be hosted by customers in their own homes for groups of families and friends. The initiative will be supported with social media activity using the hashtag #SPARbecue.
Spar’s interim brand & marketing director Michael Lawless said: “Our customers have always benefited from our high quality own label range. The Sparbecue initiative is a great way for us to showcase in an engaging and creative way how strong the consumer offering is. It’s a great platform to turn our regular customers into our most valuable influencers.”
