Weetabix is proudly celebrating National Apprenticeship Week, which begins today, with two success stories from its early careers graduates.

The company, which offers a comprehensive range of early careers opportunities, including an expanded apprenticeship scheme in manufacturing, engineering, IT and HR, says is committed to nurturing newcomers in the industry.

Since the programme’s inception, 14 apprentices have secured long-term roles within Weetabix – one of whom is now close to celebrating their ninth year with the company. Evie Elliott (above right) joined the Weetabix apprenticeship scheme in 2020 and has since become a core member in the central engineering team.

Meanwhile, Sam Dagley (left) also found a successful career through the apprenticeship opportunities. First applying in 2017, he has continued to work at Weetabix in the seven and a half years since, in the Manufacturing Capacity & Capability team as a Process Technologist.

Christine Bryanton, senior early careers advisor at Weetabix, said: “Providing clear development and progress for our apprentices is an important focus for us - and we’re proud to celebrate their amazing talent and success this National Apprenticeship Week.

“This includes encouraging more women in to engineering roles, through our annual Women In Engineering event that engages year 10 students to consider learning the trade.”
