Nisa retailer, LA Foods, is continuing to grow its community engagement through its ongoing collaboration with Nisa’s Making a Difference Locally (MADL) charity.
To date, LA Foods has contributed over £100,000 to local charities and organisations through MADL, showing their dedication to making a lasting impact in their community. Under the stewardship of the Hussain family who own multiple Nisa stores across London, it has been a part of the MADL initiative for over 15 years.
This partnership has been instrumental in supporting various local causes, from educational programs and youth groups to community centres. The funding has helped organise sports tournaments, refurbish local sports facilities and provide equipment that might otherwise be unaffordable for community groups.
Tabrez Hussain said: “Our commitment through MADL has enabled us to support our community where it matters most, making a real difference in the lives of our local residents. We believe in giving more than just value through our products - it’s about creating an enriching environment that extends into our community through initiatives like this,” Tabrez said.
Kate Carroll, head of charity at Nisa, said: “LA Foods are amazing retailers to work with and I’m delighted to see them reach the £100,000 milestone through MADL donations. They’ve taken huge strides in their community programme over the past few years and frequently engage with their communities to provide funding to those who need it most.”
