Serge Notay of Notay’s Convenience Store in Batley, West Yorkshire has revamped his store’s delivery car with a unique car wrap showcasing his friendly and well-known face.
Only on the road for a week, the initiative by Serge and Snappy Shopper has already created community buzz and uplifted sales: “Customers are loving it and it’s just the turn out I wanted. It has attracted lots of attention and helped me get more orders.”
The new design aims to spread the word that shoppers can receive their deliveries in under an hour.
“We wanted something out of the box and different. I suggested having a carton version of me on there but one of the Snappy Shopper colleagues said ”why don’t you just have a photo of yourself on there” and that is what we’ve done.”
He shared his advice for other retailers looking to consider similar branding initiatives: “Get your brand out there. Every shop has its own unique selling points and people are coming through your door for a reason. With the rise of online sales, we have to give consumers a reason to shop online with us. Keep them up with the banter, keep up with the community spirt and make sure its portrayed online.”
Serge has also launched an engaging Facebook competition inviting the community to capture photos of the car and share them using specific hashtags, for a chance to savour a complimentary treat with their next delivery.
