On 26 July, over 2,100 customers attended the second ever food festival arranged by Tout’s stores in Cleeve. This figure doubled the number of attendees seen in 2023, and the event once again saw live music, local suppliers, activities for kids and free food for everyone that attended – as well as an anticipated £1200+ for charity.

The event featured over 40 stalls, primarily run by local suppliers. The money raised went to the store’s MADL fund, and helps towards Tout’s goal of providing one million meals to local families in food poverty.

Emma Browne from Tout’s explained: “Our 2024 Food Fest was bigger and better than ever, and we were overwhelmed by the support and attendance. We welcomed over 2,100 people to our free community event.

“The event was born out of an idea to provide an accessible and fun event for all to attend. The local Maple Restaurant provided free restaurant quality food for everyone and there was live music alongside a variety of kids activities, so the whole family were entertained. The total amount of money raised it still being tallied up, but we’re already confident we’ve raised more than our 2023 event, which raised £1285.20 - equivalent to 5140 meals donated.”

The team at Tout’s is currently looking at how it can continue to grow the event for 2025, as this years’ event saw supplier and visitor numbers double. Emma added: “We want to say a huge thank you to our customers, suppliers and especially to our amazing team for all their hard work in helping make Tout’s Food Fest 2024 what it was. We need a bigger field!”
