Anyone who says there's no such thing as a free lunch has clearly been missing out on the Pro-retail exhibition, where lunch, refreshments, attendance, nationwide coach transport and parking will cost you nothing. This is the generous package on offer from leading wholesaler and show organiser Palmer & Harvey (P&H).

With more than 180 suppliers and manufacturers attending, Pro-retail 2009 is set to be a hive of activity. The show, which takes place at the International Centre in Telford, Shropshire, on April 28 and 29, promises the very latest product innovations and top category advice.

And that's not all those attending Pro-retail will be treated to. Goodie bags brimming with delights will be given to each visitor, while plenty of products will be available for you to sample.

There will also be a wealth of suppliers on hand, including manufacturing giants such as Kellogg's, Cadbury, Pepsico and Premier Foods, to answer all your questions and offer you an insight into their areas of expertise.
Another show highlight will be the relaunch of Mace. A total overhaul of the symbol group will reveal a new logo, strapline, fascia and internal image to provide the brand with a fresh and modern appearance.

Meanwhile, P&H will have a range of stands covering different categories, such as fresh & chilled, alcohol and grocery and will be ready to offer retailers advice and guidance.

In addition, independent P&H customers are also entitled to show exclusives, giving them the opportunity to order the products they see at the show immediately. There will be more than 120 exclusive deals from exhibitors, providing great savings on key products. Everyone registered for the show will be sent a copy of the deals prior to the event, with a full ordering book available on arrival at Pro-retail. To take advantage of the offers, you need to be either a P&H independent ambient or chilled and frozen customer, ensuring that you hand in your completed order book at the show.

"Pro-retail is all about helping retailers make the most of their stores," says Richard Hayhoe, director of marketing at P&H. "Our dynamic, real-life fixtures will provide examples of perfect independent retailing and inspirational modern profit-boosting ideas, with expert ranging and merchandising."

Those interested in evening entertainment may well be drawn to the lavish Gala Awards Dinner, which takes place on Tuesday 28. With more than 1,600 buyers and suppliers in attendance, this is the perfect opportunity to network with key industry figures. Winners of the Supplier and Retailer Excellence Awards will be revealed at the dinner.

A two-day one-night mini-break, including free tickets to the Gala Awards Dinner, is available for retailers looking to stay on the Tuesday night. Complimentary coach transport will be available to take you to and from the event. Hotel rooms at the Ramada Cannock Hotel can be booked through Helen Silvester at Ellis Salsby on 0845 2415150.
