Costcutter and P&H will be staging their first joint event since the announcement of their new distribution deal at the Pro-retail exhibition, taking place in Telford next week.
Costcutter will have a large stand at the event and the group’s leadership team will be on hand to answer retailers’ questions about the deal and about future plans for Costcutter’s family of symbol group brands, which now includes Mace.
Also at the show, P&H will launch an alcohol licensing initiative, whereby specialists Licensing Solutions will be on hand to help guide retailers through the process of obtaining a licence. P&H will offset the cost of applying for a licence with free stock or chiller equipment deals. Chilled food will also be under the spotlight, with an extended product range and a new chilled £1 Poundzone offer.
Pro-retail will also showcase a special feature on day-part merchandising to help retailers appeal to customers on different missions at different times of day, a wider snacks range via its Snacksdirect delivery service, and the return of the local producers village that made its debut last year.
Martyn Ward, managing director commercial & sales at Palmer and Harvey commented: “Pro-retail 2013 promises to be our biggest and best year yet. It will be the first year that our new joint-venture partner Costcutter Supermarkets Group will attend, and we’re excited to invite Costcutter’s retailers to come along and experience the show. We hope to meet many of them there, and we’re sure they’ll leave feeling inspired and full of ideas to put into play in their stores.”
Pro-retail 2013 takes place at the International Centre, Telford, on April 30 (9am – 5pm) and May 1 (9am – 4pm).
