In a recent statement to members, Nisa-Today's confirmed that an extraordinary general meeting would take place no later than November 30. It also promised to release a circular detailing the full proposals "as soon as possible" and that members would have at least 21 days between receiving the proposals and the final vote.
Nisa was at pains to show that the speculation surrounding the deal had not been a distraction, and claimed that trading remained buoyant,
Meanwhile, Costcutter has conducted a series of regional meetings to discuss latest developments with its members. The group held meetings in Northern Ireland, Scotland, the North, the Midlands and South-west of England, as well as two sessions in London.
