Booker has secured a deal with Renault to provide its Premier retailers with vans at competitive rates.
The new vans will be branded Premier Direct and will also carry the store name and telephone number.
Lease prices range from £39-£47 per week, depending on the size of the van. Alternatively, they can be bought outright with a reduction to the list price of as much as £9,000. The vans come with tote boxes included, but extras such as satellite navigation can be ordered for an extra charge.
Director of retail and Premier development Steve Fox said: "Our main raison d'etre is to give our customers the tools to succeed in running their businesses. One of the things our retailers need is a van so it makes sense to use our buying power to get a good deal for them. They can use it to collect goods or to help with other operations like home delivery."
Fox insisted that the new deal did not have any implications for Booker's delivery service. "This is not about replacing deliveries," he said. "We have just rebranded our delivery service and it is now more effective than ever."
More than 70 retailers have already expressed an interest in the new van deal, according to Booker.
