Sugar confectioner Kervan Gida has developed healthier versions of its most popular Bebeto lace and pencil lines.
Rainbow Laces 30% Less Sugar, Strawberry Laces 30% Less Sugar and Strawberry Pencils 30% Less Sugar are sweetened with fruit juice and will officially launch in summer 2019.
Available in shelf-ready packaging, the sweets are high in fibre and contain no artificial colours, sweeteners or flavours.
Stuart Johnston, managing director of Kervan Gida UK, said: “In order to make sure our categories have plenty of healthier options, we’re delighted to reveal three new products with higher fruit content as well as containing 30% less sugar than our current best-selling range.
“We see the development of reduced sugar products as a necessity in today’s health conscious market, although we do recognise that our products are treats and will continue to be seen as such.”
The reduced sugar sweets will be available with an rrp ranging from 39p to £1. Kervan Gida is set to reveal more new fruit juice infused products later this year.
