Soft drinks manufacturer Britvic has introduced new Soft Drinks Industry Levy labelling on shrink wrapped pallets of soft drinks, specifically for the wholesale trade.
Trystan Farnworth, commercial director, Convenience & Impulse at Britvic, said: “This is a nationwide activity which we’ve launched following consultation with customers, retailers and trade bodies. We have introduced the ‘levy paid’ or ‘levy exempt’ messaging on shrink wrapped pallets across single serve and 2tr carbonated products.
”The ‘levy paid’ messaging reassures wholesalers and retailers that they are buying legitimate stock. The ‘levy exempt’ messaging highlights to customers the opportunity to capitalise on the no and low sugar trend which is driving growth in the soft drinks category.”
