Coca-Cola European Partners (CCEP) has revealed its special edition Halloween packaging across its Fanta range, with new special packs of Sprite Zero.
Available from mid September, the packaging will be haunted by spooky jack-o’-lanterns and a ‘Trick or Treat’ slogan across two litre bottles of Fanta Orange, Fanta Orange Zero, Fanta Fruit Twist and Sprite Zero, as well as 6x330ml and 8x330ml multipack can ranges.
The return of the Halloween themed Fanta packs follows a successful activation in 2015, which saw Halloween become the second highest selling seasonal event for soft drinks, overtaking Easter.
The Halloween packs will be available for six weeks, with sales set to be supported with themed in-store visuals, point-of-sale material and an outdoor advertising campaign to drive awareness of the brand’s activity.
Caroline Cater, operational marketing director GB at Coca-Cola European Partners, said: “Halloween is becoming a more significant consumer event each year, and our special seasonal packaging across our Fanta range can play a key role in helping retailers to make the most of the incremental growth opportunity as people stock up for their celebrations.
“We’re pleased to be reintroducing these spooky packs, while extending the Halloween range to include Sprite Zero, providing further choice for consumers who are planning parties. Last year’s activation saw our sales growth exceed that of the category as a whole, and we’re looking forward to seeing a similar impact during this year’s event.”
