Grenade has unveiled an Oreo Protein Bar following the brand’s acquisition by Mondelez International in 2021.
The bar has a creme layer flavoured with Oreo vanilla flavour and a nougat centre flavoured with Oreo cocoa flavour, wrapped in low sugar chocolate and topped with sugar-free Oreo cookie pieces. It contains 21g protein and 1g of sugar and has an rrp of £2.85. The product is launching in the Co-op over the coming weeks, as well as the multiples, and is available to trade customers through Booker and Bestway from February.
Grenade head of product, Rob Page, said: “After partnering with Mondelez in 2021, a collaboration with one of their great products was first on our list to go out and get done. Oreo was the perfect fit. After 18 months of development, we have landed on a product that combines both brands perfectly, in taste and in nutrition. Our hope is the co-branded bar continues the work done by the Grenade brand, delivering added benefits without compromising on taste, whilst bringing new consumers into Grenade protein bars.”
