Following on from the launch of its original coffee machine pods, Horlicks has unveiled its new range of chocolate pods.
Compatible with Dolce Gusto pod machines and available to c-stores now, the pods deliver a convenient, easy-to-make drink that is made with malt chocolate and boosts a creamy texture.
Michelle Younger, marketing manager at brand owner Aimia Foods, commented: “After the successful launch of Horlicks original pods earlier this year, it was a natural progression to extend our pod range, offering consumers more of their favourite Horlicks products for use with their Dolce Gusto pod machine.
“We believe the launch of chocolate pods will broaden our appeal across all age ranges and is the gateway to a younger consumer. Our research shows that chocolate flavoured beverages are favoured amongst younger demographics and families and this aligns perfectly with the average age of pod machine owners.”
The chocolate pods are available for retailers to order via Amazon.co.uk and Garraways.co.uk at a price of £11.99 for 48 pods (three boxes of 16). Direct trade inquiries should be made to Aimia Foods.
