A new essential guide for retailers, enforcers and policymakers to prepare for the upcoming single-use vape ban will be available on Amazon next week.
The Single-Use Vape Ban Explained is a collaborative effort from leading Trading Standards officers, government advisors, and industry experts with direct experience in enforcing vape regulations and advising on policy.
Written under the collective pen name “David Alexander”, the book offers straightforward guidance to support retailers:
- What counts as a disposable vape under the new rules?
- How to identify compliant vs. non-compliant products
- What enforcement action could retailers face?
- A free Supplier Compliance Checklist to help businesses demonstrate due diligence
The book is written as a practical companion to the DEFRA guidance, providing more detail and real-world examples to help retailers avoid “costly mistakes”.
Ivan Hancock programme manager for the National Trading Standards Vaping Project said the book provides helpful and practical insight into the implications of the single-use vape ban, explaining the purpose and context for those less familiar with the issues.
“A clear explanation, with terms defined and product types illustrated, will help clear the fog for retailers and others involved in the supply of vaping products,” explained Hancock.
The book will be available on Amazon in eBook, paperback, and hardback formats from Monday 24 February 2025.
