Typhoo has added another variant to its range. Typhoo Extra Strong comes in a pack of 80 bags (rrp £2.49). The new variant is supported by an outdoor and online marketing campaign and is available in a premium-looking black pack with a Union Jack swirl to highlight the British heritage of the brand.

CEO Ken Packer said: “The growth in the premium sector of the tea market is predominately driven by consumers’ out-of-home experiences and people looking for a stronger tasting tea.  Strong teas are most often consumed at breakfast time and we have seen a +10% year on year growth (IRI) in Breakfast teas.
