Barr Soft Drinks is launching a zero added sugar version of its Rubicon Mango beverage, to offer consumers more choice in the flavoured carbonates sector.
The new mango product is available now in 500ml 99p price-marked and 2 litre plain pack PET formats (rrp £1.79).
Adrian Troy, marketing director for Barr Soft Drinks, said:“With more than one in five flavoured carbonates shoppers now opting for low calorie drinks (IRI Marketplace, MAT to 30/12/18), and almost three quarters expecting to see a low calorie option within a brand (Kalm Research, Zero Added Sugar Concept and CPT Projects, October 2018), the launch of a great-tasting, authentic zero sugar mango variant will add an exciting choice to the chiller.
“The really good news for retailers is that after sampling, 75% of consumers who don’t currently buy Rubicon said they would purchase the new mango zero added sugar variant (Kalm Research, Zero Added Sugar Concept and CPT Projects, October 2018), highlighting the opportunity to generate incremental sales.”
