Walkers’ community fund competition for retailers is returning for 2023.
This year’s competition will see ten lucky retailers have the opportunity to win £2,000 each to support their local neighbourhood, recognising the pivotal role that convenience stores play within their communities.
To enter, retailers must purchase two cases of any 48g-82g £1.25 RRP price-marked-pack (PMP) or Kurkure 80g £1.00 RRP PMP range of qualifying products between Monday 20 February to Wednesday 5 April.
Mike Chapman, head of wholesale at PepsiCo, said: “Convenience stores have always played an important role within their local communities but never has this been more the case than during the last few years. We know that 73% of independent retailers have engaged in some form of community activity in the past year alone and we expect this to continue. With this competition, we hope to help retailers give back to their communities with a significant prize up for grabs.”
John Wilson from The Corner Shop, Cellardyke, Scotland, was one of the ten lucky winners from last year’s community competition. John used the money to restore the local tidal pool which brought the community together and helped provide a safe place for people of all ages and abilities to swim.
