Co-op has launched two stores to serve the communities in Chopwell (above) and Crawcrook. Chopwell’s Co-op has re-opened following a seven-week programme of works and improvements to ‘transform’ the store. Crawcrook has seen a new store open as the convenience retailer relocates to a new, improved and larger location.
Located in Derwent Street, Chopwell, the near 2,000 sq.ft. store supports 12 local jobs and serves-up an increased range of fresh and chilled produce alongside an enhanced focus on meal ideas and everyday essentials.
Meanwhile over in Main Street, Crawcrook, the new 2,700 sq.ft. store features Costa Coffee Express machine has been added and parcel collection services are available through an InPost Locker.
Kurt Viereck, Co-op Chopwell Store Manager, said: “The whole team is delighted to have had the opportunity to invest in Chopwell. The store has been totally transformed, and with a fresh new look and layout, new flooring and refrigeration it looks fantastic.”
Then, Natasha Held, Co-op Crawcrook store manager, said: “It’s very exciting to launch our brand new store. It’s much more spacious than our former store in Crawcrook and looks great with its enhanced range and choice.”
