Police are hunting a masked robber who stole alcohol and a mobile phone from a Premier store in Sunderland.
The Premier store, in Villette Road, Hendon, was raided on November 11 at 8.56pm. The man, armed with a knife, threatened staff before escaping from the scene. Nobody was injured in the incident.
Police are appealing for witnesses, encouraging anyone in the area who may have seen or heard anything suspicious, to contact them immediatley.
It is believed that there were several men outside the shop at the time of the robbery and police are looking to contact them, as they may have infomation that could assist in the investigation.
As a result of Police enquires, two people, a 25-year-old man and 44-year-old woman, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. Both have been released and the investigation is ongoing.
