Police in Plymouth are investigating a huge tobacco theft which took place in a neighbourhood store last week.

The burglary, in Devonport, reportedly saw three men steal tobacco from a convenience store. The men broke into the Premier store on Charlotte Street and stole tobacco valued between £8,000 and £10,000, Devon and Cornwall Police have revealed.

The burglary took place early on the morning of Monday 20 January, between 4.30-5.30am, and the police force are appealing to anyone to come forward with any information. 

Officers are keen to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone in the area selling large amounts of tobacco. Alternatively, they may have CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage which could help.
