Conviviality-affiliated retailers are reporting that stock levels have stabilised, just under one month after Conviviality’s Retail arm was acquired by Bestway.
Davinder Parhar, owner of Bargain Booze Select Convenience in Daventry, Northamptonshire, said that after months of availability gripes his stock levels were now as they should be.
“Everything seems fine now, it’s back to business as usual for the time being,” he said.
“It doesn’t change my plans to join another fascia, though. My contract with Bargain Booze comes to an end in July and I will be switching to another group,” he added.
Another Bargain Booze franchisee, who wished to remain anonymous, said that everything was now “okay with regards to stock levels”.
A third Bargain Booze retailer also said his “stock position was fine now.”
Bestway Wholesale managing director Martin Race recently confirmed to C-Store that the franchisee system would continue to run as before.
