Blakemore Retail has relocated its Spar Thurcroft store to a new build site on Green Arbour Road in Rotherham.
The store opened on Friday (April 20) and features an extended fresh foods line-up with ‘Tonight’s Tea’ range, as well as off-licence services and everyday essentials such as bread, milk, fresh fruit and vegetables.
A new Greggs concession has already opened within the store, with a Subway franchise coming soon. Blakemore Retail has taken on 15 new staff members to manage the food-to-go elements of the store bringing the total number of staff to 30.
The Spar also offers CollectPlus and PayPoint services, along with National Lottery and a free cash machine. A defibrillator has been fitted at the entrance to the store, and up to 30 parking spaces are available next to the site.
Store Manager Denise Anderson said: “With new food-to-go services and an extensive range of everyday essentials, meal ideas and fresh foods, our store provides something for everyone.”
