A bursary which provides up to £3,000 in financial aid for university students whose parent or carer works in professions such as convenience retail, supermarket store work or pharmacy roles sees the final deadline for applications falling next week.

The deadline for the Leverhulme Trade Charities Trust (LTCT) undergraduate bursary applications for 2024 requires final entries to be submitted by 15 October. The funds can be used to help cover tuition fees, course materials, equipment or travel costs, and offer vital support as the cost of higher education continues to rise.

Professor Anna Vignoles, director at LTCT, says, “We believe everyone deserves the chance to pursue higher education, and our bursaries help ease the financial burden for families. We encourage all eligible students to apply before the 15 October deadline.”
