One Stop has partnered with Louis Kennedy - an agency that builds partnerships between brands and charities - to launch a fundraiser and educational initiative to support charity Fareshare.
The Fruities & Veggies project aims to raise awareness of healthier eating habits and the specific benefits of eating a variety of fruit and vegetables.
Customers can find characters ‘Arthur Apple’, ‘Pete Potato’, ‘Patricia Pear’, ‘Lotty Lettuce’, ‘Tia Tomato’ and ‘Betty Beetroot’ on a range of point of sale across the majority of One Stop’s estate from today.
The characters will also feature on a range of keyrings for £2.50 – with 45p for every keyring sold being donated to FareShare.
One Stop has also created an interactive online space for the campaign and an opportunity for customers to win prizes by playing educational games during the 6-week campaign period.
“As a business, we’ve been working hard over the years to promote our top-quality fresh food and with The Fruities & Veggies™, we’re able to not only reiterate to customers that they can get their fresh fruit and veg from us, but also educate them about the nutritional benefits certain fruit and vegetables provide!” commented Jack Taylor, community and partnerships manager at One Stop stores.
“Customers can scan the QR code from our in-store POS or on the tag of every character keyring, which will take them to The Fruities & Veggies™ universe. There they can learn about each of the characters through a range of fun and informative tools.” added Jack.
Kirsty Ford head of fundraising at FareShare commented: “By purchasing these keyrings, shoppers can help people affected by the cost-of-living crisis come together through food and access essential support services. One Stop’s ongoing generous support for FareShare makes a huge difference in helping us make the food go further.”
