Sustainability in the convenience sector will be under scrutiny at The Convenience Conference.
Taking place 5-9 October, the online broadcast series will tackle a range of pressing industry issues including sustainability.
One of the highlights of the week’s broadcasts is the ‘Sustainable growth in a post-pandemic environment’ discussion. This talk asks if sustainability has been de-prioritised in 2020 and will hear from some of the brands and retailers that are leading the way.
The session includes Coca-Cola European Partners sustainable packaging director Nick Brown; Company Shop commercial director Sally Wake; owner of Jay’s Budgens Pratik Patel; Lumina Intelligence senior insight manager Alice Dolling and Spar UK managing director Louise Hoste.
The day’s focus on sustainability also includes an in-depth discussion with group chief executive officer at the Midcounties Co-operative Phil Ponsonby. He will address how the sustainability trend will impact the convenience sector as well as offering advice to retailers looking to get more involved in the issue.

The day’s learnings continue with a panel session on delivery within convenience featuring some of the top providers and retailers.
