Surplus food distributor Too Good To Go has hit a huge milestone by saving an incredible 40 million Surprise Bags from going to waste. Showing just how far the business has come in reducing food waste and its impact on the environment, these 40 million Surprise Bags have avoided the equivalent CO2e emissions of 18,770 flights around the world, it reports.
Launched in 2016, the initiative partners with some of the biggest names in grocery and convenience, including Spar, Aldi, Nisa, Regional Co-op and many more. Via its app, Surprise Bags can be purchased for 50% of their retail value or less, helping shoppers save money and retailers generate revenue and footfall.
