The vape category in the convenience channel has skyrocketed in terms of sales but has that come at a cost? Its success and appeal to consumers has placed it under scrutiny, particularly in relation to compliance and underage sales. We’ll hear from the director general of the UK Vaping Industry Association, John Dunne, about the growth and responsibilities facing the sector, as well as top retailers’ experience of how they manage the vape category.
The Deposit Return Scheme in Scotland is causing no end of confusion for the entire supply chain, and with mere months until it is implemented, there are plenty of questions that need to be answered. In this session, James Lowman of the Association of Convenience Stores, James Bielby of the Federation of Wholesale Distributors and Premier retailer Mo Razzaq attempt to provide some clarity on the situation for retailers and suppliers as well as discussing other legislation coming down the road for retailers.
With the fourth National Lottery licence due to come into effect in February 2024, questions have been asked about Allwyn’s plans for it and how that will impact their stores. Allwyn Director of Retail Katharine Challinor will exclusively reveal plans for the National Lottery and what retailers can expect to see over the next eight months.
